Maybe Pigs might actually fly! Metallica have teamed up with Spotify to finally bring their music to the download masses. Interesting that one of the board members of Spotify (Sean Parker) was a founding member of Napster, whom Metallica tried to sue back in the mid-nineties. It was a big deal back then and most likely shaped the online music industry that we now enjoy today.
It seems that all is forgiven since the Napster Vs Metallica; now that the self-proclaimed Ludites of Rock have realised that the business model used by the music industry in the nineties has no place in the modern world. Perhaps they’ve seen their funds decline along with the sale of CD’s and have decided to man-up to continue theirRock and Roll lifestyle? We’ll never know.
