iPod3GEN

The iPhone is now officially the best selling telephone of ALL time, but does anyone remember its predecessor from 8 years ago?

This bad boy is the iPod 3rd Generation, meaning its not the first design, but it isn’t far off either!

I’d love to get it up and running again, if only I could find a Firewire to mini Firewire connector! (USB 2.0 was still battling it out with Firewire way back when – Apple were backing the Firewire protocol).

After years of not being used it still had all my music on it once i’d plugged it in.

Classic.

I found this original photo on deviantART by an artist known as rdevill (check him out)

I have put my own personal touch on it and now the ‘Nerdy Rocker’ is a little cooler… ish.

Robbie Maddison – Motorbike Superstar – does something a bit special for New Years…

On December 31, 2007, (on the 40th anniversary of Evel Knievel jumping the fountains at Caesars Palace), Maddison broke the world motorcycle jumping record, traveling 322 feet 7.5 inches (98.34 meters) on a motorbike. He repeated the event immediately afterwards, successfully landing the jump, as his fiancee Amy looked on. His second attempt, however, did not go as far as the first jump. Maddison was uninjured from both jumps.

He completed a similar feat on December 31st 2008 by jumping 96 feet 0 inches (29.26 meters) up onto the Arc de Triomphe in front of Paris Las Vegas and then descended a 40 foot drop off the monument to return safely to ground level.
