I’ve not done any artwork in a long time! I’m slightly ashamed of myself. However! I feel my lack of creativity has partly to do with Photoshop. Yes Photoshop, I blame you! I was close to completing a piece last week (you know the kind that has taken a WHOLE DAY) when Photoshop decided to crash. I left it for an hour to try and fix itself (I can hope!) but I inevitably had to close it. Of course I only then realised that Photoshop does not have an auto save feature. Cue me weeping into my cupped hands while dropping to my knees.
I’ve not gone back to it since, having totally lost interest. Maybe one day. Meanwhile here is my last save. It looked way cool… until it died.

Seemingly confirming Apple’s basic iPhone product strategy for this week, T-Mobile Netherlands’ phone catalog is showing 16GB and 32GB iPhones for 2009 as well as a possible 8GB model.
A pair of tips show an entry known as “iPhone 2009″ in both black and white for the two identified capacities, hinting that Apple will no longer reserve a second colour option for its best model.
Obtained by iPhoneClub, the images also curiously show two different entries for iPhones that are difficult to identify. One simply lists as “iPhone 2009 (NTB)” while another is “iPhone 3G 8GB Black V2.” The former may just be a placeholder, but the second is less clear; the potential exists for it either to be a continuance of the iPhone 3G as-is after the new launch or else simply a minor, mid-cycle iPhone update that already exists in stores.
The 32GB instance has all been assumed to be in development due to the nature of flash memory technology but, if borne out by Apple’s WWDC keynote tomorrow, would represent the first capacity upgrade to the iPhone since the original iPhone was given a 16GB choice in early 2008.
Thanks to BlueRotKev for this one.

There have been a lot of mock up iPhones on the web in the last few days; some blatantly Photoshopped, some half decent fakes. This one, though, seems genuine. What you’re looking at is the matte black finish we’ve been expecting for a while with the iPhone classic chrome edge completely gone. The OS is undoubtedly 3.0 – check out the microphone icon and percentage next to the battery icon, as well as the SMS icon now being named ‘Messages’ – plus there also seems to be a front facing camera, again heavily rumoured but not backed up ‘til now. Should we start believing now, or is it best to wait ‘til tomorrow afternoon (UK time 6pm)? Roll on WWDC!

Apple may or may not be announcing a new iPhone model at Monday’s WWDC, but the evidence is definitely stacking up in favour of it, especially with Carphone Warehouse’s latest blunder. It would seem they have updated their POS systems a little early as shown by the very clear image to the left. Any uncertainty of a 32GB variation also seem to have been taken care of, as well as a colour choice on all memory sizes. Whether the iPhone32GbV3 is real or not will have to wait until the 8th June. It is possible that whoever entered the info was just hitting all the possibilities.
Either way, time seems to be going a little too slowly for my liking…

This has happened before, right about this time last year when we were all patiently waiting for the iPhone 3G to be announced. Once again, it’s been discovered that the latest beta of the iPhone SDK has icons for an unreleased version of Apple’s finest. We’ve been able to verify that two icons tucked away in a deep folder refer to black and white versions of the "iPhone 2.1" (black is pictured left), which is one of the internal model codes we’ve been hearing get thrown around for a while now. Thing is, the icon is identical to the one being used for iPhone 1.2, better known as the iPhone 3G, so Apple is either smartly using a placeholder until the final SDK build, or the latest and greatest model is a dead ringer for the old. I reckon its the first.
