Laptops and other large electronic devices will be banned from the cabin on flights to the UK from six countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
I just got back from Paris a few days ago. I did the usual touristy bits. Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and Notre Dame were just a few of the highlights. Of course I took photos 🙂 After cleaning up the photos with Photoshop, I figured I’d give 3D a go because there are near identical pictures everywhere you look all over the internet.
The downside is you need particular 3D glasses to see it properly. Light blue and red lenses work best.
This is the first image that I have tried bringing forward certain elements. I have brought the front four cars forward to give greater depth.
We’ve had floods, we’ve had miserable all day downpours, but now finally we get some good ol’ fashioned frost! To top it off its December 1st so I got to eat my first Advent chocolate while looking at wintery scenes 🙂
Yesterday I was given my Christmas work rota and it was GOOD. Only working 1 out of 5 days over Christmas which is great. More time for drinking (moderately of course) and eating (bring on the puke bin).
I leave you with my first glimpse of winter this year
I’m getting into the Christmas spirit now and what better way than with comedy?
Today I visited the Museum Of Science and Industry in Manchester, UK.
The main reason for going was for a steam train convention which had sparked my interest – someone said Thomas the Tank Engine was going to be there… he wasn’t.
On the plus side I discovered the aviation section which houses some pretty cool aircraft, for example the below Bristol Type 192 Belvedere Military Helicopter which, if my understanding is correct, was replaced in action by the better known Chinook.
The Belvedere is ridiculously long so I decided to try out my iPhone’s abilities at indoor panoramic photography. There isn’t an App I know of at the moment that allows for Panoramic joining of photos (idea for future money making scheme) so I used good ol’ Photoshop for the task. Overall I’m pretty inpressed with the outcome and should warn that there will be plenty more Panoramics gracing this Blog soon…
